In addition to another full color brochure to sell CasinoKat and our team, I spent a little time building prototype cabinets and working on finishing touches in the days before the G2E show.
We contracted out both the final cabinet build, and the lighting effects with local companies. The cabinets featured a 15" subwoofer aimed directly at the Player; the air movement created by powerful bass beats was ported directly in line with the joystick.
For its debut at G2E 2015, I created a low-frequency bass-heavy playlist to stress the 15" speaker, and another playlist based on all the music loops I sampled). We ensured that a Player could play their own music from their iPhone by adding a USB charging and interface port. Furthermore, the LED lights would pulse and animate with the intensity of the music. I was asked a number of times to turn the volume down, even on the main floor.
I wrote the copy for press releases like these:
CasinoKat debuts in our 40" Deluxe Cocktail cabinet... featuring an HD display running at 120Hz, a 4-way leaf-switch joystick, and ludicrously massive 15" subwoofer.
